I started with Just A Girl and then . . . when I landed on Beneath My Heart everything stopped.
It was not about something to fill my time or work to do with my hands although those two things are good things, it became about something much more grand.
It became about the one thing that will never change. It became about Love. Times may change and people may think they change, but there is one thing that remains the same and that is the heart and it's need for love.
It loved us first. It has no fear. It covers a multitude of sins.
It brought me to redemption. It surpasses understanding.
It never puffs up but always builds up. It quiets.
It's unfailing. It is patient. It is kind. It does not envy.
It is not proud. It is not rude, it does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.
It is the greatest. It is what all the songs are about. It binds us together.
It produces "liquid prayers."
It is the only thing that goes with us to heaven.
I was encouraged and blessed and crying . . . and was given a jewel that will always stay in my heart. I hope you go there and read her post for today. I think you will be encouraged to.
Sweetness.

Jerriann,
It's late, and I am tired, but I was trying to visit the blogs of all the people who left me such sweet comments today on my post about my mom. My heart was so touched to see your post. It feels so good to know that my mom's words are blessing others just like they have blessed me for 39 years.
I just left her house a few hours ago and she is doing well. I think the effects of the chemo will be more noticeable in the days to come.
She's the one who told me to start my blog because I love to "create" and share. I get it from her. She's the most creative woman I know. I never imagined that I would be blogging about her battle with cancer months later. But here I am. And I want to honor her through my blog. "Her children rise up and call her blessed" Prov.31
I had no idea I was being featured on "just a girl" today. I'm glad so many people were able to read about my mom and pray for her.
She started a blog before we found out about her cancer and we thought her failing health was a heart issue. She started her blog to try and help her keep her mind off things. She has a few posts that you can check out. It reveals some more of her beautiful heart. Here's the link:

Thanks again for your beautiful post.
God bless your tender heart!
