Basically I got nothing.  But I love my blog and blog land so I got to come up with something.  So, here it is.

I found this message painted on a sign and I thought it was worth keeping.

G
od didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow,
sun without rain.

But He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the pain
and light for the way.

This is an encouraging message but check out these beautiful letters.  I found them at the Daily Drop Cap.  This girl is amazing.  She does all the letters by hand, I think that's what it says about her.
I love the alphabet and beautifully written words.  This is one thing that I am planning on working on.  My lettering with  paint or pen leaves a lot lacking.  About the best I could do is copy her, though.  I don't think this kind of stuff is in my head.  Go check her out.

Just a Post

I was wondering around blog land, going from one to the next looking for something to inspire me.  I found it and plenty more.

I started with Just A Girl and then . . . when I landed on Beneath My Heart everything stopped.

It was not about something to fill my time or work to do with my hands although those two things are good things, it became about something much more grand.
It became about the one thing that will never change.  It became about Love.  Times may change and people may think they change, but there is one thing that remains the same and that is the heart and it's need for love.

It loved us first.   It has no fear.  It covers a multitude of sins.
It brought me to redemption. It surpasses understanding.
It never puffs up but always builds up.  It quiets.
It's unfailing.  It is patient.  It is kind.  It does not envy.
It is not proud.  It is not rude, it does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.
It is the greatest.  It is what all the songs are about.  It binds us together.
It produces "liquid prayers."
It is the only thing that goes with us to heaven.

I was encouraged and blessed and crying . . . and was given a jewel that will always stay in my heart.  I hope you go there and read her post for today.  I think you will be encouraged to.

Sweetness.

Craft Room

Thanks to Misty at Studio M Designs, she is featuring my craft room today.  So if you have come from Studio M, please click here to see the craft room post that I like the most.  And the one that caught Misty's eye.  Thank you.

If you like looking at other peoples grandkids, please feel free to scroll down.  I kind of like um and would be honored to hear your oohs and aahs, :)

This week I featured most of my grand babies.  Two of them are not featured but in honor of my mom and dad who couldn't be here when baby Hadley arrived, I dedicated this week to catching them up on the most recent pictures.

They couldn't stand it, however, so they are loading up tomorrow and making the trek across Texas to come see for themselves.  haha poor daddy, he says he's down in his right hip and mom is down in her left hip.  I guess if they plan it out just right they can balance each other out.

Enjoy.

See ya.

Giveaway Goodies and Tomorrow's Pink Alert!

Hey there, my friend in real life and blog buddy,  Belinda at the Eddins Family Story, is giving away a basket full of goodies.  So don't let me be the only one to leave her a comment.  It just wouldn't be fair.  She's a sweetie, for real.

AND, what I have been waiting for . . . tomorrow it's official

PINK ALERT, PINK ALERT!!

Um hmm, that's right, tomorrow is the big day.  My oldest and KP's big sister, Danya, is coming up and we are all going to the hospital to welcome sweet baby Hadley to this world.

As we all know, we live in a country with the best medical care in the world and we can tend to take things like birth for granted but I know and I know that a lot of you know personally that this is nothing to be taken lightly, so I am asking for your prayers for Kristen and baby Hadley and for the doctors and nurses.  For safety and health for momma and baby and for wisdom for the hospital staff.

Thank you :) pictures to come soon.  Love to all.

New Clothes for my Blog

Oops, I've been playing in the blog scrapbook paper again.  It feel like I have a new summer dress on.  The hardest part for me with clothes is finding the jewelry and here the jewelry is the font colors, that takes me for-everr to settle on.

So here it is, my new summer dress, don't laugh.  :)

We Have A Winner!!

Hi guys, It's me and Jeremy, our week together is fast drawing to a close but we have had a good time.  All the family came in (well all as in my side) his Fofo and Granny-ma (my folks), his sisters and nieces and nephews.  We have eaten and eaten, and eaten and eaten.  Oh my goodness I am so full.

Have you ever seen a young man eat a steak that hasn't had red meat in seven months?  Well, I'm just sayin, if you want to better watch fast, cause I've never seen one go so quick.  Everyone at the table just kind of watched in amazement at how fast he ate it.  Then he ate another one.  Goodness, we all started offering him our steaks cause it looked like he needed it.

Oh, I guess we should get on with the winner of the t-shirts, soooo . . .

Wild Olive Tees

Congrats Dawn Jenkins!!  You have been selected by the ever so popular "drawing of the name from the hat."  So, if you will let me know what shirt you want and what size, I will get it ordered and sent directly to you.  Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Good stuff.

Thoughts from Jeremy:

To all you ladies, thank you very much for all your kind words and support.  My men and I very much appreciate it.

Although you didn't win (the t-shirt) doesn't mean you are not a winner cause in our eyes everyone is.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers.  I know I feel your prayers everyday and I appreciate it.  I thank you for all that you guys do for us when we come home and while we are away.  This is not just a job but a calling and I appreciate your support.

Your Brother in Christ,

Jeremy Buckley
