Spring in West Texas

I took these pictures Friday.  This is what our pastures look like right now.

There is some green showing up, but it's not really spring in these parts until this start putting on leaves.

Awe, the lovely mesquite tree.  See those thorns?  Nasty.

The rule in this part of the world is the danger of freezing is not over until the mesquite trees start budding.  We got close last week with a low of 34.

AND - for us spring means some of these beauty's.  A sampling of this morning's time in the pasture.

Have a beautiful day.

See ya.

Nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by. Love your horsy photos. You really captured their beauty. Love the little ones--so darling when they are so young.

Ahhhh, yes...spring is in the air. I'm lovin' the pics of the little foals. They look so funny since they are all leg. Remind me of our baby donkeys 'cept they are all leg and ears!

God bless ya and enjoy your Monday!!!

What great photos - those little ones are just adorable. We don't get to see a lot of horses where we are...so thanks for sharing.
