Wild Olive Tee's - I'm Gonna Give It Away!

You know how it is when you find a great buy!  You have to tell all your friends.
Have I got news for you, I found some great t-shirts.  I was visiting at MckMamma's to see what they had been up to lately, (everything seems to be good) and she mentioned that she had one on in an interview.

Just one look and I knew

 t-shirt images

it was a zinger.

These are sooo cuute as my granddaughter would say.  Seriously, their cool, your gonna like 'um.

So go check these gals out at Wild Olive - Get Your Verse On.

They are doing a benefit for "Until Journey's End" where you can buy three or more tee's in one order and get free shipping.  Great Graduations gifts.  (I'm just sayin)

Also, I am announcing my own giveaway.  Lets see, how should I set up at the parameters?  I'm thinking, leave me a message (that's one), follow me, (that's two), and tell someone about us here at Salt Creek Ranch and link back to this post and the winner will get one of these t-shirt's, your choice (that's three)  OH yea, if you do all three of these you get three entries, isn't that how it works?

I bought me some the other day, they are gonna be so cute.

God's blessing.

Party Central - I Can Do This!

I signed up, volunteered, to decorate for a dinner party.  At first glance, it sounds easy, exciting, fun, did I mention easy  already?  Yea well, that misnomer deserve another mention.  Okay, not easy.  The biggest challenge has been to figure out the center piece.  You know CENTER of attention.  The anchor piece, the One thing everybody sees.   Well, not necessarily the only thing, because we are going to do a shabby chic garden theme to whole room, so there will be lots to see.  But still, pressure.

What was I thinking?

So, I figure, if you don't how to do something go to the experts who do.  Thank you internet and book stores and the talented, schooled designers that go behind them.

Enter, Ron Morgan, I found this book

at Barnes and Noble.  Beautifully photographed, I might add.  I love beautiful photographs, can you tell?  The husband says, "We are all the same, if I like everybody else will too", hah, maybe a little general and not exactly what he said, but . . .  you know the drill, it's my blog.

Anyway, I found this inspiration piece,
so, I need to make this

look like that

with these

Easy.  hmm!

Wordless Wednesday

A Golden Heart

awwww, so sweet, my second award.
And so pretty.

I say second because when I first started blogging Petticoats and Spurs sent me one, only then I didn't know how to put it on my blog, so technically, this is a second.

But woohoo!

Thank you Belinda at Eddins Four.

This is being hosted by Daveda at Grace Talk With Daveda and the links there are amazing, you gotta go check it out!

Okay, so now I am to give it away.

Amanda at Life Abundantly

Back at ya, Sherry at Petticoats and Spurs

What can I say about this group of women?   I think we all, here in blogland, understand what an amazing tool this is.  We are meeting friends and sisters in Christ that we would never have the chance, or at least unlikely (cause nothing's impossible with God), to meet.  Nice run on sentence there.  The women listed here I have never met except for Danya and she is my daughter "D" who some of you heard from on our American Idol post, (yea way to go Kris) however I think D's still mad that Matt Giraurd didn't win.  Anyway, post something baby, okay a little personal business there.

Back to the ladies, you guys inspire me, lift me up and encourage me, pray for me, edify me and teach me.  All from women I have never met.

Saying I love you girls, doesn't seem enough, but I do.

I almost forgot, the rules;
you gotta give it away, George should be playing here.
Selected five more beautiful women or a man too, why not I ask.  Anyway, don't forget to use the picture above and go check these out, they really are beautiful people.

Titus 2 Tuesday

Welcome to Tuesday.  Shanda at A Teachable Heart, what a sweet gal, has a link to post your thoughts and memories on women who have been Titus 2 women in your lives.  Past or present

Photobucket

I pray before I begin writing, "God who is my post about this morning?  Who do you want me to write about?"  Not silly, it's a good thing.   God answers prayers and if I want all the glory to go to Him then I ask Him what or who do You want me to write about.

An easy name to write about is coming to my mind so here goes.

My friend's name is Daphne Delay,

she is an ordained minister and minister's Family Harvest Church with her husband, Todd.  She also has a women's ministry called Mirror Ministries.

I will never forget the first time I heard her.  It felt like the whole room fell away and only she and I were left.

She told her testimony about looking in the mirror and feeling the voice of God tell her to look real close.  She kept getting closer and closer until she was about an inch from the mirror and looking directly into her own eyes, He said, "tell her you love her and that you forgive her."

Those words still sting the backs of my eyes.  "Tell her you love her, " the hardest person to forgive is ourselves.  And she, through her own testimony, told me what she had learn from God.  And I too went to that mirror with her and faced my own eyes and told that girl that I loved her and I forgive her."  Me!

I knew that talk was for me.  I rushed outside with one of the clergy that was there and I cried and cried and confessed and we prayed and prayed and I agreed with God that day.  And I have never been the same since.

Daphne keeps me and all of us who know her and you too if you wanted, lifted up with weekly devotions.  She sends them out to your e-mail.  She is a gifted speaker and author and she will come to your group and what ever she talks about will come straight from the heart of God.

She's like a "rock star" to those of us who get to work with her on various projects.  The walk to Emmaus being one of them.

She is a Titus 2 women, teaching women to be reverent in the way they live.  Her passion is to teach us the righteousness we have in Christ Jesus.  That we are in right standing with God and walk believing and speaking that belief.  Not always an easy thing to wrap our minds around.

Thank you Daphne.  I love you.

"I used to look in the mirror and wonder wonder
who is this girl looking back at me?
Windows to my soul, my eyes told on her.
She said, "Please forgive me
and set me free."
Many tears were shared that day between she and I.
Now, I look and know
who that girl is looking aback at me.
Her name is Forgiven."
-Daphne

I am so thankful for mentors like Daphne.  Thank you Lord Jesus, that you love us and that you have encounters with us everyday.  If we just open our eyes to You, you are there in the mirror, in our own eyes and in the eyes of our friends.

Memorial Day

I couldn't stop with just one great looking flag, noooo!  This could be one of those "if one is good, more is better" post.

I love the American Flag, it is the most beautiful flag in the whole world, to me and to you too, I imagine.
As some of you know my son is in the Army and is serving our country in Iraq.  I am so proud of him and all our young men and women.  And the thing is, they are "our young" for the most part, they are courageous and dedicated and some of them give their lives to keep us free.

This is the ceremony where his company  covers their unit's flag until they come home.  Very moving.

My sweet boy.

He's coming home for R & R. yippee :)  I can't wait to hug him.

Some of his friends and their momma's sweet boys.

They are the reason we go to bed safe and sleep sound at night.
My favorite quote is;
"America land of the free because of the Brave"

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~  ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I saw this on this blog and I have heard it said that to imitate another is the best form of flattery so I copied her post and hope she knows it's because I loved it so much.

It Is The American Soldier

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us the freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier,
Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.

Father Denis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Thanks Kelly, I love you girl.

The Project

This weekend I finished a craft project I have been planning for several weeks.  I love to make a project that I know is going to go to someone as the hands and feet of Christ.  This one is on its way to a walk to Emmaus.
The pieces.

The tools.
The pretty.

The ouch.

The almost finished.

Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be his treasured possession. Deuteronomy 14:2b NIV

I went on my walk in Oct of 2001 and I found out that God can work through paper and plastic beads, through the work of someone's hand.  To know that they would do this, prayerfully for you, to show you His love for you.

One of my favorite verses, it just keeps coming up;
1 John 4:19  "We love because he first loved us."
I am no one to judge.  Who am I to through stones at anyone for the things that they have done.  I myself am a much forgiven women.  I feel the banner I wear is "one who is forgiven much, loves much."  I have been forgiven much. What little I do pales in comparison to the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I saw this video on the internet cafe website, check it out.

The question leaves me thinking, how do I live my life for Christ?  The answer comes in sharply, what little I do . . .
