Becky and Bob Tiedemann stayed over last night and in honor of their visit we cooked steaks. They were on the way back home (North Platte, NE) from south Texas with a trailer load of cows and needed to stay over to rest their cattle. It was my first time to meet them. We had such a good time, I can't wait to do it again. Isn't it fun to meet new friends.
Check out their web site, Jim Baldridges's Secret Seasoning, they have a story of how their seasoning came to be and they have recipe page, you can submit your very own creations to them and they will publish it in an upcoming cookbook. Hang on to your hat folks, this group is moving and shaking things up and it is good. I have been using this seasoning on everything from meat to beans to potato soup since my husband and step-son Jason met them in Denver this year.
Before you have the opportunity to see the food, I must offer my apologies. This is my first time to do a cooking post, which I want to do a lot more of because I am always in the kitchen, but my photos are sorely lacking. Next time more planning. Promise. So, here goes;
This is Niclyn, her and her husband Ty and kids have joined our family here on this ranch. This is the only people picture I took, and the only baked potato picture I got, so like I said not a real good dinner/cooking post.
But hey, a girl's gotta start somewhere.
